North County Sand and Gravel Products

Sand and Gravel is a heavily consumed commodity in the United States, and has many different applications. It is widely used in construction for producing concrete, concrete blocks, bricks and pipes. It is also used in road construction and when mixed with asphalt, it can be utilized as a construction fill. Due to its various physical properties, namely its abrasiveness, sand creates the ideal traction needed for icy roads, railroad ballasts and sandblasting. Whether your project is big or small, we will do it all. We specialize in providing a wide array of construction aggregates to suit the scope of your project, from residential and small business to large projects and public works.

Sand and Gravel for your Landscaping Needs

As a landscaping material, sand and gravel is an inexpensive and low maintenance product that can be used for decorative and high-frequency applications. Whether creating walkways on your property, or anchoring desert-friendly plants, sand and gravel can be an ideal choice for designing and redesigning your home landscape. Since it is a low maintenance material that requires no gas or electric tools, or watering, sand and gravel is a great choice for the eco-friendly consumer. Finer sands can be produced for use in sandboxes and home sandblasting, while coarser sands can be used for driveway traction. We take pride in working with our customers to provide the right choice for their landscaping needs.

Sports Fields and Horse Arenas

Sand and Gravel is also a highly utilized medium for sports fields; its applications can range from playground sand, to horse arenas and baseball diamonds; this makes sand and gravel a valuable commodity for homeowners and construction contractors alike. Many of our customers are horse owners, so we create many custom blends for use in horse arenas; the quality of the arena material can greatly affect your horse’s health and performance, so we take great care in providing you with the right mix for your home or commercial arena. One of the most important aspects of a horse’s health is good footing, which helps to reduce lameness as well as optimize performance. Arena depth and surface performance is determined by many factors; material, additives, particle sizes and shape, how compactable the material is, and at what depth it is set. Equestrian facilities require unique sand specifications, depending on their disciplines. Different riding disciplines (Western, English, Cutting, racing, jumping, etc.) have different needs and individual riders have different desires for sand footing. We strive to provide the best material for your unique preferences, based on years of experience and feedback from our loyal customers.
